My favourite Korean style spicy tofu stew

The ingredients:

  • Chopped garlic
  • Chopped onions
  • Chopped red chilli or chilli flakes
  • Tofu
  • Sliced shiitake mushroom
  • Enoki mushroom
  • Egg
  • Choice of vegetables and other ingredients

    To flavour:

    • 1 tablespoons of light soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
    • 1 tablespoon of gochujang paste
    • 1 teaspoon of sugar

      Fat:

      • Vegetable oil
      • Sesame oil

         

        1. Fry garlic, onions and chilli in vegetable oil and sesame oil until fragrant
        2. Add light soy sauce, oyster sauce, gochujang paste and sugar
        3. Add in paprika powder to taste
        4. Pour in 2 cups of water
        5. Add in mushrooms, hard vegetables and tofu and let simmer for 20 minutes
        6. Stir occasionally and add in sliced cheese if preferred
        7. Crack an egg
        8. Garnish and serve
