Nutty basil pesto pasta

The ingredients:

  • 1 cup of pasta
  • Sliced shiitake mushrooms
  • Minced garlic
  • Basil leaves
  • Crushed cashew nuts

To flavour:

  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of pesto sauce

Fat:

  • Butter

 

    1. Bring water to a boil and add in salt
    2. Pour in pasta to boil following packaging instructions for duration
    3. Transfer into ice bath once cooked to al dante
    4. Melt butter in pan and stir-fry sliced shiitake mushrooms and minced garlic until cooked through
    5. Remove mushrooms to garnish later
    6. Add pesto sauce to pan
    7. Crush basil leaves and add to pan
    8. Heat sauce
    9. Mix in cooked pasta
    10. Garnish with mushrooms, crushed cashew nuts and basil
    11. Serve
